Brown Vox opens up about his passions and plans | EDM Nations Interview !

By EDM Nations – October 13, 2020 15 0

He has spent more than half of his life dedicated to musical experiences, which has given him a strong foundation and knowledge on how to deliver stylistic unique productions that leave lasting impressions. What is the process of preparing for a live show like? During that period, I started producing with FL Studio, I used to go back to the studio after my orchestra’s rehearsals to produce music, using some of the same notes I played a few hours earlier. He illuminates his passion and devotion in this industry by creating phenomenal melodies that protrude unique and memorable traits. My approach as an artist is to walk along with the soul. Back then I was mostly making remixes and my versions of famous songs, posting them on music forums and social media platforms. Moreover, some of these tunes got thousands of views on YouTube. My first gig was extremely exciting. For me a person who creates art is a person who’s connected to his soul, his colours, his sounds, his shapes and his thoughts. I feel that DJ-ing allows me to interact with the public. Follow us on socials Some of them were picked up by well-known radio stations and also played in notorious clubs in Tel Aviv. What is about music and/or sound that drew you to it? The music style was Tech House and Deep Tech music. Brown Vox’s journey in the music industry started at the age of 7, when he started recording beats and producing dance music with his first EJAY software. Brown Vox (aka Yehuda Salomon) is a talented House music producer and DJ based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Those felt like my very first gigs. I played for 2 hours for a Midburn Community, the Israeli Burning Man festival. Back then I was an unknown DJ. I first started DJ-ing 3 years ago, my first time was at a friend´s party in Tel Aviv. I truly believe that it is essential for everyone. I believe it is a great opportunity to develop my career and my network inside the music industry. I remember recording beats with my family’s radio tape and playing them some of my creations. I usually need a day or 2 to get ready for a live show, just to listen to music and pick up some tracks. “I believe art allows me to express myself in a different language” says Brown Vox. 2 years later I started taking Saxophone lessons. For the first time in my life I created and produced Dance music. The musician was actively involved in his hometown’s orchestra for many years, impressively playing as both a saxophonist and pianist. I love studio work but D-Jing inspires me in a different way. I got my special sources for this and I like to refresh dancefloors with new sounds that excite me. In addition, I have some unscheduled releases for later this year and next year. When I was younger, I dreamt of becoming a Trance DJ. For me being an artist is a gift. As of recent, he has started producing with FL studio. My dream of becoming a DJ/Producer started many years ago. I may have heard you have new releases coming, is that true? The music genres that mostly rule in Israel are Psy-trance, Deep House and Techno, we have huge communities and scenes here for these types of music. Yes, it is true I have some scheduled releases for the next 2 months on labels such as Groove 33, Lapsus, Ole Records, Innocent and more. Seeing how they enjoy my music, their smiles and dance moves. However, due to my experiences in life, and new influences, I feel like the House scene is the best for me. When did you start DJing – and what or who were your early passions and influences? I consider that art is freedom, allowing me to express myself in a different language. That’s a good question, Israelis love to party hard and we know how to have a good time, I can surly say we live in the moment when we party. It makes me feel good and happy and that is the greatest part of it for me. My journey in the music industry started when I was 7 years old, my mom bought cool software on a CD called EJAY. I invest so much time in it because it is one of my passions. What is it about DJing, compared to, say, producing your own music, that makes it interesting for you? What was your first set-up as a DJ like? My set-up was extremely simple, a PC laptop and Traktor MK4 controller. For 5 years I was playing saxophone in the local orchestra in my city. Tech House hasn’t reached here yet, though it’s 2020. Influenced by jazz, classic and psytrance vibes, his music is a portrait of his soul and thoughts. I really like playing brand new tracks from unknow artists. When did you start writing/producing music? What can you tell us about the Israel scene? He has released his music on record labels like: Distortion / Huambo / Lapsus / Ole Records / Monkey Lab / Nasty Funk / Groove 33 / Monkey Stereo and many more…

Can you describe your approach to art and being an artist? I believe that it gives me a place to show myself to the world. Parties every night and huge festivals, before Covid-19 started obviously. I hope to be the one who brings the news as soon as life gets to normal again. Gotta say I’m super excited about these releases and being signed on these great labels. I recently signed on some great labels such as Cocoa, Gruff, Unnamed & Unknown and more.
